NOTICE

Dated: 13th January, 2012

The following procedure shall be followed for the thesis work in M. Tech (Regular) (all specialisation):

1. Candidates will be required to choose supervisor from the department and prepare synopsis in consultation with the supervisor.

2. A supervisor can guide at the most three M. Tech. thesis simultaneously.

3. Each candidate will be required to submit 02 copies of synopsis within 10 days of registration for the 4th semester.

4. Candidate must present the synopsis within one month of the registration to the Department Research Committee (DRC) (to be formed by the respective HoD within one week of receipt of the synopsis).

5. The DRC (with minimum four members) may accept, suggest or outright reject the proposal.

6. Only on approval of the proposal by the DRC, the candidate can pursue the thesis work.

7. Candidate will be required to complete the work within minimum of six months after the registration of 4th semester. The maximum time shall be as per the university rules.

8. On completion of the work, candidate will be required to submit 02 reports (spiral bound) of the work to the DRC.

9. Candidate will be asked to defend his/her research work before the DRC on a specified date during normal working days.

10. Only after successful defense of the work (pre-submission viva), candidate will be allowed to submit the thesis.

11. Before the conduct of final presentation / external viva voce examination, it is the responsibility of the supervisor to get a circular issued by the HoD, clearly mentioning the date, time and venue of the viva voce examination and this must be distributed to all departments and the office of the undersigned.

12. At least two (02) publications out of which one in International Conference / Journal.

13. The students are required to mark daily attendance in the department. Minimum 50% attendance is required for pre-submission.

It is for the information of all that the classes of undergraduate students shall be off on 19th Sept., 2011 (for one day). Normal classes shall re-commence on 20th Sept., 2011 onwards. This is to inform all the students that the last date of submission of fee for M.Tech (Part Time) students is 4th June 2011. Schedule of fees payment is as under.

No fees shall be collected after 4th June 2011. All the students are required to register as per the registration schedule, which is under issue by the Academics Branch. Registration for M.Tech students shall not be done without having paid the fees in full. The students, who do not deposit their fee by the notify date, shall not be allowed to attend the classes.
